It extends hundreds of miles from the city of Kass in the south to the suburbs of El Fasher in the north and covers an area of 12,800 km.It is the second highest peak in Sudan, with a height of 10,000 feet above sea level, and consists of a series of heights 240 km long and 80 km wide, interspersed with waterfalls and volcanic lakes. Once with mild weather that is dominated by the character of the Mediterranean climate, where the rains fall in almost all seasons of the year, which gives the opportunity to grow many trees such as citrus, apples and intertwined forest trees, and this heavy rain provides a continuous water supply for agricultural lands, which makes its soil suitable for cultivation of corn and millet.
